The Beast of Owens Mountain Road
Exactly what the creature is, is not truly known but from here foward it will be referred to as the beast. Specifics, such as when, where, and by who it was first sighted are unknown. There are four eye witnesses and many others, including myself have heard something prowling around my mom's house.
My brother Jeremy Clay has had the best look at the beast. But my sister Libby Mullins and my friends Avery Bowers Jr. & Jackie Mullins have also seen it.
Jeremy Clay's Description
Jeremy describes the beast as being 6-8ft tall walking upright and being covered in fur. The creature walked upright and had a long snout and big teeth. The beast jumped into the road in front of Jeremy's truck. It looked at him for 1-3 minutes then ran into the woods.
Libby Mullins' Description
Libby describes the beast very similarly to Jeremy. 6-8ft tall, covered in fur, walking upright. She said it was kind of like a bear only faster. She saw it jump across the road .
Avery Bowers Jr.'s Description
Avery describes it as 6-7ft tall, Kind of like a bear, walked upright. He saw it moving into the bushes.
Jackie Mullins' Description
Jackie saw it from a profile view. He said it was about 6-7ft tall with a tail and long snout. He said it was attacking a deer.
Anubis Initial Investigation
Four members of Anubis (Jeremy Clay, David Walker, Avery Bowers, and myself) conducted the initial investigation of the area around my mom's home. This area was covered in a sweep pattern looking for physical evidence of the beast having been there. This search was done on a morning after we had heard something prowling around the property numerous times.
We found and recorded elongated paw prints in different spots and collected some strange looking fur from the barbwire fence around the property. We used an Advantix 35mm camera to take pictures of the paw prints, Avery's hand is in each shot for scale purposes. We also collected a sample of the fur for further analysis.
